Large Power Transmission – Coal Bed Methane

This rate component is applied to coal bed methane customers requiring 1,000 kVa of capacity who take delivery at PRECorp’s transmission voltage (69 kV) and metered at one point of delivery. This rate is not applied to compression loads with individual motors of 1,000 or greater of horsepower.

The basis charge is $600 per month with a demand charge of $1.05 per kilowatt. The demand charge is $12.29 per kilowatt and the energy charge is $0.021422 per kilowatt hour per month.

A billing demand is derived and power factor adjustment is applied.

CBM members also provide funding for new CBM-related substations, transmission lines and system improvements through a $0.005 per kilowatt hour charge.
