Energy Share of Wyoming

Energy Share of Wyoming

Energy Share of Wyoming is a nonprofit, statewide program that assists those who do not qualify for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) and are experiencing a situation such as a medical or family crisis, which makes it difficult to pay their energy bills. Energy Share of Wyoming is a partnership with individuals and organizations that represent senior citizens, Wyoming utilities and cooperatives, churches and groups who serve the disabled. First priority goes to Wyoming residents who are at or above the 185 percent of the federal poverty level. Funding decisions are made by the Salvation Army, which reviews applicants’ eligibility. The program begins on December 1, and applications are received until the end of May or until funds are exhausted.

Applications are taken through the local Salvation Army, or the Sundance, Gillette or Sheridan Powder River Energy offices. Please note applications turned in to PRECorp’s offices are for PRECorp members only.  If you do not receive electricity from PRECorp, please contact your local utility or Salvation Army.
